A more flexible stock rule
Here are the details for this mode. The objective remains eight complete same-suit King-to-Ace runs. Choose one suit, two suits or four suits using the game controls. Relaxed Spider on sdlpgcs.com permits stock deals while columns are empty. The game still uses 104 cards in ten columns.
Deal into empty columns
An empty column no longer prevents a stock deal in this variant. The relaxed stock rule does not allow mixed-suit groups to move together. A stock card dealt to an empty column becomes that column's first face-up card. The relaxed stock rule does not change the rank requirement for ordinary moves.
Read the opening
The stock contains fifty cards for five later deals. The opening tableau contains 54 cards. Only the bottom card of each opening column is face up. The first four columns have six cards each and the remaining six have five.
Move a single card
A few details help explain this feature. An exposed card may land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher. An Ace cannot receive a lower-ranked card. The two cards do not need to share a suit for a single-card placement. A King needs an empty destination because no rank is higher.
Move a group
The following details apply here. A suit change can leave a smaller movable group at the bottom of a column. A descending group moves as a unit only when every selected card shares a suit. A break in rank prevents the entire selected group from moving together. Same-suit building can reduce the work needed to separate mixed sequences later.
Use empty columns thoughtfully
Keep these points in mind. Empty columns remain useful for separating temporary mixed builds. You may preserve an empty column until you decide to deal from the stock. A new stock row fills every empty column with one card. Any exposed card or legal same-suit group can occupy an empty column.
Stock deals are still shared
Keep these points in mind. A stock deal places one card onto each of the ten columns. You cannot direct an individual stock card to a chosen destination. Dealing can block an existing sequence as well as reveal new combinations. Undo restores the previous arrangement when the stock-deal snapshot is available.
Collect matching runs
A few details help explain this feature. Eight collected runs are required to finish Relaxed Spider. A complete run contains thirteen face-up cards in one suit from King to Ace. The game removes a complete run automatically at the bottom of a column. Changing the number of suits does not change the number of required runs.
Try another decision
Keep these points in mind. New game creates a fresh shuffle in the selected suit setting. Replay restores the same shuffle for another attempt. Hints identify legal options without guaranteeing a win. Random relaxed deals are not presented as guaranteed solvable.
Resume locally
A few details help explain this feature. Relaxed Spider keeps its saved games separate from standard Spider when saving is enabled. Each relaxed suit setting has its own current local game. Privacy & Cookie Settings lets you turn saving off or clear local records. My Statistics displays relaxed starts and wins in separate rows.
